Residential Aged Care – Morning Stream: 8.45am-1.15pm: navigating changes to the DOH and ACQSC and learning from how their powers are being applied in the current environment; difficult residents and restraint; dignity of risk and clinical risk management – a difficult balancing act; audits and sanctions: examining regulator approaches to different issues in the current environment and optimising your response

Home Care – Morning Stream: 8.45am-1.15pm: navigating changes to the DOH and ACQSC and learning from how their powers are being applied in the current environment; resolving challenges in dealing with difficult families; understanding what risks you should manage versus dealing with challenging client choices; examining your obligations in managing and monitoring third party contractors

RAC & Home Care – Staff Management, Afternoon Stream: 2.00pm-5.15pm: implementing best practice notetaking and record keeping to effectively respond to audits, investigations and complaints; dealing with ‘toxic’ staff behaviour and understanding when the lower level issues can be used for lawful disciplinary action; and staff with mental health issues.
