An invaluable addition to LawSense Law for Mental Health Practitioner programs. This Family Series program provides key insight for practitioners, including psychologists, family therapists and counsellors working with family and child issues. The program includes a presentation from the Federal Circuit Court. Topics include: Judge Monica Neville – outlining the court’s expectations of mental health practitioners; Family Court decision making and orders – effectively navigating mental health issues of parents, drug & alcohol and parenting orders; family violence – navigating your obligations where there are allegations of family violence or family violence related orders are made; objecting to subpoenas and other information requests; responding to complaints; understanding and navigating informed consent from children and parents; exploring best practice note-taking, record keeping, report writing and communications in family and child related matters; and confidentiality, privacy and sharing information.
