This is co-located with LawSense School Law – you can take the opportunity to attend LawSense Law for School Counsellors & Guidance Officers in the morning and any of two LawSense School Law sessions in the afternoon. Topics include: exploring best practice note-taking and record-keeping to minimise legal exposure with counselling records; examining and interpreting exceptions to privacy and confidentiality obligations of school counsellors – when can you share or disclose?; gender diverse students – understanding current legal obligations in supporting the student and dealing with parents and experts; understanding and navigating informed consent from students and parents.
